Vaccinations

While our current mission locations in Belize and Mexico do not require any specific vaccinations for entry, international travel can expose you to diseases not commonly found in the United States. To ensure your health and safety, we recommend reviewing the CDC’s travel information for Belize and Mexico, and consulting with your personal physician about any additional vaccinations you may need.
For those who prefer to stay within the U.S. for health reasons, we are excited to announce that mission trips in North Dakota will be available starting in Spring/Summer 2025.

Medical Care
Access to quality medical care is available at all our mission locations. Each site is within an hour’s drive of multiple hospitals, which offer varying levels of care to meet modern medical standards. To further ensure your peace of mind, we include a recommended medical travel packing list tailored to each location, whether in Belize or Mexico.
We highly encourage travelers to consider purchasing travel insurance, which can cover medical expenses abroad and arrange for medical evacuation to the U.S. if necessary. Travel insurance can be purchased through our trusted partner, battleface, or any reputable provider like Allianz.

Living Conditions
Your comfort and safety are integral to the mission experience. At each location, we provide secure housing where every family has their own space and access to essential amenities. Depending on the location, full kitchen and laundry facilities are either located within each family’s apartment or available in a shared communal area. Additionally, SOLT FME offers group dinners for all families during the trip to foster community and fellowship.
